This recognition highlights efforts from the society to create a work environment that promotes growth, inclusivity, and diversity.

As we continue to promote a supportive atmosphere for all employees, we aim to lead by example and help shape employee ethics within the financial services industry.

Rob’s trip for the Building Societies Association’s (BSA) US Study tour.

In this article, our Distribution Director, Rob Oliver, shares what he got up to during his recent visit to the USA for the Building Societies Association’s (BSA) US Study tour.

He joined other building society directors and the BSA’s chief executive, Robin Fieth, for a deep dive into how mutuals and credit unions operate across the pond. The group visited Washington DC and Boston to meet credit union executives, regulators and some of our mutual counterparts.

Rob said “In Boston, a few of us attended the World Credit Union Conference (WCUC), which brought together around 2,500 delegates from 57 different countries.

This was a fantastic opportunity to gain some insight into not only how America’s mutual sector operates, but also those of other countries.”

This month we attended a few intermediary events throughout the month including mortgage networking events and web shows/webinars.

TMG Mortgage Network Expo in Barnsley

On September 6th, our Business Development Manager, Tia Hickman and Charlene Howard attended the TMG Mortgage Network Expo in Barnsley to showcase our product offerings.

They discussed both simple and tricky cases with brokers, highlighting our USP’s and demonstrating how we offer support to clients seeking mortgages.

Specialist Mortgage Web Show

On September 12th, our Key Account Manager, Cavina Harrison, attended the Specialist Mortgage Web Show alongside other lenders, to share valuable insights into specialist mortgages.
